For our client in Amsterdam, we are looking for a Devops engineer (Financial applications, SQL server, Linux, Tuning, Scripting, Configuration, Monitoring, etc)

Your Role
As a professional engineer you work within a self-organizing, autonomous Agile team (squad). Together with your team members you work on the purpose of your squad in two-week sprints and take care of the running and changing activities on the mortgage application process and systems. Also, you take care/the lead in solving (functional and/or IT) incidents and align all needed solution partners.
Within your team, chapter and outside your team, you give your opinion to other agile teams. Thanks to your rich experiences and good IT knowledge, you are able to coach your colleagues, train in new technologies and inspire you for the solutions you come up with.

Your daily activities consist of
• Supporting the users of the mortgage application systems (Topicus Force Framework) and connections to surrounding applications.
• Translate business/process requirements to system requirements, business rules and product configuration.
• (Functional) maintenance of mortgage application systems.
• Deploying software releases.
• Construction and maintenance of our CI/CD deployment pipeline (Azure DevOps).
• Performance tuning and monitoring.
• Technical trouble shooting on Windows, backend connections, performance, Azure DevOps pipelines.
• Logging analyses dot.net applications
• As our client works within an international environment, communication is by default in English.

Your skills
• Experience with the implementation of financial software packages.
• Experience in a business environment, able to translate business/process requirements to system requirements, business rules and product configuration.
• Strong functional knowledge of financial applications and products preferable in the Mortgages domain.
• SQL server database tuning
• Dot.Net – Windows tuning
• Basic Linux knowledge
• Linux / windows operations and automation skills
• Windows batch server
• PowerShell scripting
• Windows IIS configuration
• Network configuration and management (tcp, ports, protocols, etc)
• Experience with CI / CD pipelines (for example Azure DevOps AZ400, AZ-104, Git, and Docker).
• Experience with test automation and tools (Selenium).
• Monitoring and alerting.
• Experience of Java programming at least on advanced level.
• Experience with the Agile / Scrum / Kanban / Azure boards way of working.
• Linux and Windows knowledge.
• RestHook – Webhook principles and configuration
• SQL query language
• Good writing and speaking skills, both in Dutch as in English.

Nice to haves
• Experience with service virtualization (e.g. Parasoft Virtualize)
• Experience with DevOps (monitoring of production, Prometheus, Grafana, Kibana), alerting.
