For our client in Amsterdam, we are looking for a Senior Ops Engineer (Java, Linux, Networking, CI/CD, SQL).

This role is not suitable for zzp.
This role is a deta perm request.

Role Description
You will be joining a development team and will be responsible for OPS activates for the squad including deployments.
Improvements in processes.

Role Requirements (MUST HAVES)
Management of application environments >= 4 years
Incident, Problem, Release and Change management. >= 4 years
Critical issues handling including analysis and call/chat updates on the issue progress. >= 4 years
Contribution to monitoring & alerting, risk and resilience >= 4 years

Technology & tools
MUST HAVES
Knowledge and understanding of software development and deployment process.
Linux hands-on experience (knowledge of basic Linux commands, shell scripting, opening up log files, checking file permissions...) >= 4years
Networking/Infra knowledge (cloud, firewalls, FTP, XFB, MQ, EMS.) >= 2 years
Experience with CI/CD pipelines preferably Azure and Ansible > 2 years
Experience with writing and analyzing SQL queries. >= 2 years
Experience with Docker/containers/k8s. > 2 years
Experience with Monitoring tools (Elasticsearch, Kibana, Grafana, Prometheus) > 2 years

SHOULD HAVE
Experience working with Java (or other alternatives for example Python) > 2 years
Tuning SQL queries, identifying issues, and implementing improvements in Oracle. > 2 years

Soft skills (MUST HAVES)
Experience with training and coaching junior engineers. > 2 years
Analytical and investigative by nature
Waste buster > automation mindset, not only related to testing but to everything.
Always out to learn new skills and to teach others in the process.
Proactive attitude > don t wait for someone to tell you what to do.
Not shy to express and defend his/her opinion in front of a crowd (which may not be the popular opinion).
